West Hills Mall

Developed in partnership with ARC Architects Pretoria, the West Hills Mall currently sitting at over 27,000 square meters is the biggest mall in West Africa to date.

The design looks to the future of shopping centres in the landscape while celebrating tropical architecture. The mall hosts over  50 shops with the main anchors Edgars®, Shoprite® and Palace® possessing about 45% of the lettable floor area.

The impact of the shopping experience on the Accra-Weija road seeks to decentralise the hustle of inhabitants in and around the area travelling long distances to Accra’s Central Business District.

The design sought to break down the shopping mall into 3 areas; East, Central and West zones which are connected by a central aisle.
The central zone which has a courtyard, recreational areas and a food court. With the Eastern and Western zones being predominantly occupied by shops and anchors.
